Steady Stitch Road

Frequently asked questions

How do I pick the right level?

Levels reflect prior fluency, not speed. If you can cast on, knit, purl, bind off, and read a basic pattern, start at Intermediate. If pattern reading and gauge math are new, start at Beginner. Advanced assumes comfort modifying patterns and troubleshooting fabric behavior.

What materials do I need?

Each course lists yarn weight, needle sizes, and optional tools. We prefer common tools you likely own. We do not mandate brands. Swatch yarns you already have—learning gauge is about practice, not purchases.

How long do I keep access?

Your purchase includes lifetime access to course materials and future text updates. Live critique sessions, when included, have specific dates listed in the catalog.

Do you offer refunds?

We provide a 14-day refund window if you have not completed more than 20% of a course. We’ll ask for context so we can improve, but there is no adversarial screening.

How does critique work?

Critique is optional and focused. You submit specific questions and photos of your swatches or work. Mentors respond with concrete next steps, not generic praise. Expect candor and care.

What about accessibility?

We design for contrast and keyboard navigation. If you need transcripts or alternate formats, write us on the Contact page and we will accommodate.

Do you support group or guild access?

Yes. We offer group access with shared progress dashboards. Contact us for pricing and scheduling details.

How much time should I budget?

Most courses are 4–12 hours of instruction plus practice time. We encourage a 30–45 minute daily cadence. Progress compounds.

Do you provide certificates?

We provide completion certificates upon request. They summarize learning outcomes and project scope—useful for portfolios or guild submissions.
